Usherwood Office Technology has named Ken Stinson president.
In his new role with the company, Stinson will be responsible for day-to-day operations, strategic planning of the organization, and will act as the company’s leader.
During Stinson’s previous six years with Usherwood, he served as the company’s vice president of sales and worked with the management team to increase the company’s revenue by 49% during his time in that position. Stinson also helped increase the company’s expansion in New England with the addition of seven new offices and the Odyssey distribution center in Worcester, Massachusetts.
“Ken is the first non-family member to become president of Usherwood Office Technology, and our family couldn’t be more proud of our decision.” said Lou Usherwood, general manager of the company. “Ken has a holistic view of our industry and a great sense of what it takes to succeed in the information technology space. Our goal is to double our revenue over the next five years and Ken is the person “It will earn us the respect of our employees and we are excited to grow in the future with Ken as our core.”
Prior to joining Usherwood, Stinson had over 12 years of experience in the office technology industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from Buffalo State University.
He lives in East Amherst with his wife Jean and three children: Kenny (16), a 13-year-old twin, Cole and Trey. In his spare time, Stinson enjoys golf, basketball and also coaches minor league baseball.
In addition to its Syracuse headquarters, Usherwood also has New York branch sales and service offices in Binghamton, Utica, Watertown, Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Jamestown, Potsdam and Plattsburgh. It also has locations outside of New York that include Burlington, Vermont; Hartford, Connecticut; Boston, Massachusetts; Providence, Rhode Island; in West Lebanon, New Hampshire; and Auburn, Missa.
